Pinch Pots

From the beginning, I never liked my project. I didn´t like the way any of my pieces were turning out and I did not have any determination. I kept changing my mind on what I was gonna make and I couldnt make up my mind. So therefore I put it in the slop bucket because it wasnt gonna turn out into something I was proud of.

plan

- wedge clay and make ball

-poke a hole with thumb

- Make into pinch pot X2

In the beginning I never liked this project. I didnt like the idea of the design because I couldnt find anything that I personally liked. So making this was not enjoyable and I didnt like one moment of it. I ended up destroying this because I didnt see an output on this assignment.

Mini masterpiece

For my snail I was planning on using it for little flowers but then I realized it would be cute for a little kids cup. Therefore I loved the way my snail turned out and I think its cute how it can be used for multiple things.  The colors were a bit darker than expected but its fine because it turned out cute.

My mini masterpiece was a making of a french artist, Pierre Auguste Renoir. I loved the painting of this piece but I felt I could have portrayed it better on a different shape of clay. The way it turned out was okay, but I wish I could have made a different piece of clay and kinda of blended the colors differently.

plan

- wedge and roll clay into ball

- flatten the clay

- form curves inward

- make the straps

- fire first then just paint with glaze

When creating my flip-flop I never really liked how thin it was. I was gonna change it but it turned out exceptional. I was mostly excited to glaze it because I thought the fun colors are what brought it together. Overall my flip flop was really fun to make and if I were to make it again I would try harder on the straps and smooth out the clay more for a a good looking glaze.

plan

- form into a ball

- poke hole for cup

- form head and tail

-shape how I want

- sculp/add texture

- fire then paint with glaze
